Quran Rahma has no user accounts and does not collect personal data. We do not use analytics or tracking.

Data on your device

Your bookmarks, last read page, memorized ayahs, reading time, tasbeeh counts, playlists, settings and downloaded audio are stored only on your iPhone. Deleting the app deletes them.

Location

If you allow it, your location is used on your iPhone to calculate prayer times and the Qibla direction. To show your city name, the coordinates are sent to Apple's geocoding service. When you open Masjid Finder or Halal Places, your coordinates are sent to Apple Maps search, and if that fails, to a public OpenStreetMap (Overpass) server, to find places near you. We never receive your location.

Microphone and speech recognition

The microphone is used only when you tap Record (your recitation is saved on your iPhone) or use Recite & Sync. Recite & Sync uses Apple's speech recognition, which may send audio to Apple to be recognised. We never receive your recordings.

Notifications

Prayer alerts and the daily ayah are scheduled on your iPhone. No data is sent to us.

Content loaded from the internet

To play audio and load content, the app downloads files from these services, which receive your IP address as part of any internet request: EveryAyah.com and QuranicAudio (recitations), the Quran.com API (translations, tafsir, word by word, tajweed text and mushaf fonts), hisnmuslim.com (dua audio), YouTube (Makkah and Madinah live streams, under Google's privacy policy), gold-api.com and ExchangeRate-API (gold and silver prices for the zakat calculator). No personal data is sent with these requests.

Purchases

Purchases are handled by Apple. If the app offers subscriptions, they may be checked by RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase receipts, not your name or email: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy

Children

Quran Rahma does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page with a new date.
